Sumi keeps supported answers exact. Press =to complete your calculation, then S⇔D to switch between the exact form and its decimal value.How to switch exact answers to decimals.
Where are constants, conversions and the other functions?
Tap ••• for constants, conversions, d/dx, Σ, CALC and the other functions without a key of their own. VARS lists your variables, and SHIFT VARS stores the answer in one. To skip SHIFT, hold a key, then slide to its SHIFT function.
Can I use the classic key layout?
Yes. Open Settings → Controls and chooseClassic under Key layout. It’s the traditional scientific calculator layout, with ALPHA, (−) and RCL on their own keys. Choose Everyday to switch back.
How do I open Sumi quickly?
On Android, add the Sumi tile to Quick Settings: Sumi offers it in Settings on Android 13 and later, or edit your Quick Settings tiles yourself. Your keyboard’s calculator key opens Sumi too. To work out a sum you’ve spotted, select it in any app and chooseCalculate from the text menu.
How do I see previous calculations?
Tap the history key (the clock icon) or swipe down on the display. Tap an entry to bring its expression back for editing. Sumi keeps your last 50 calculations.
How do I change the look?
Open Settings with the sliders icon, then chooseAppearance. Under Theme, chooseSystem, Light orDark. Under Colour, choose Sumi orPaper & Ink, or Wallpaper colourson Android 12 and later.
How do I change angle units or decimal places?
Tap the D, R or Gindicator on the display, or open Settings and chooseAngle unit. For decimal places, openCalculation → Number format → Fixed decimals, then set Decimal places. Other formats are Automatic, Small decimals and Scientific.How to switch between degrees and radians.
Why are there spaces in long answers?
Sumi spaces whole numbers of five or more digits in threes, such as 299 792 458, so they’re easy to read. Copied answers stay plain. To turn this off, open Settings → Calculation and set Large numbers to Not grouped.
How do I copy a result?
Touch and hold the result to copy it.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings → Calculation → Memory & reset, then choose Reset calculator to clear memory, calculation history and the current expression, and restore default calculation settings. Appearance, controls, support history and review prompt preferences are kept. To remove all of Sumi’s data, use your device’s app storage controls or delete the app.Read the privacy policy.
What is Support Sumi?
Sumi is free with no ads. When your store offers tips,Settings → Support Sumi lets you leave an optional one-time tip. Tips unlock nothing and are never required. Purchases need an internet connection; calculations work offline.
What should I include in a bug report?
Email the keys you pressed, the result you expected, your key layout (Everyday or Classic), and your app version and device model. A screenshot helps too.
